Background
To begin, I cannot imagine living without a large natural body of water nearby. That is why I have an affinity for Long Beach and the New Buffalo area and have always made Michiana my home.
I was born and raised in an entrepreneurial family in the Michiana area and developed a "can-do" attitude early on by observing my parents work ethic. Hard work and achievement were considered the "norm" in our household and to this day, I am grateful for those values.
My early goal was to be a teacher and worked as a substitute-teacher for the Middle Schools of Michigan City, Indiana as my husband and I started our family. After our children entered Middle School, I segued into Material Control in the Industrial Sector at Sprague Devices. During the late 70's economic downturn, my husband and I started a production machine company that flourished and continues today under new ownership. I learned every facet of the business from purchasing, machinery set-up and production to sales, accounting and management. We worked very hard, achieving quality designations to remain competitive in the marketplace.
My husband and I semi-retired as proverbial snowbirds 22 years ago, however I could not adapt to that carefree lifestyle. I needed an outlet for my energy and approached Real Estate as my new career. My early years offered the business experience needed to be successful in my new career. I hold licensure in both Indiana and Michigan.
